Update: The gas leak at 817 Slaters Lane has been stopped, and Slaters Lane is expected to reopen in approximately 10 minutes. Westbound Slaters Lane will be opened with one lane only until the gas company completes repairs.

Slaters Lane is currently closed between Route 1 and the George Washington Parkway, due to an investigation of a gas leak at 817 Slaters Lane.

Buildings from 821-827 Slaters Lane have been evacuated and temporarily closed until the situation is resolved.

Slaters Lane is expected to remain closed for at least one hour, or more.

Residents of Potomac Greens are unable to exit the neighborhood until further notice.
