Halloween Parades, Haunted Trail, Trick Or Treat: DC, NoVA Weekend Events

VIRGINIA — The last weekend of October brings the tricks and treats of Halloween to the forefront around Northern Virginia and D.C.

This weekend's event highlights include four Halloween parades — The Annandale Parade, Del Ray Halloween Parade, Great Falls Halloween Spooktacular And Pet Parade and Occoquan Costume Parade & Contest.

Some other family-friendly Halloween events to check out are Halloweekend At The Perch in Tysons, Old Town Manassas Holiday Crafts and Treats Fair in Manassas, Purcellville Halloween Party in the Woods in Purcellville, Monster Mash at Dulles Town Center in Sterling, Fall for Fall in Reston, Halloween Carnival in Falls Church, Dulles South Trick or Treat Trail in South Riding and Trick or Treating at Mount Vernon in Mount Vernon.

Halloween events geared toward adults include Ghost Ship Providence in Alexandria, Nightmare In the Woods Costume Party in Gainesville, HallowQueens Drag Brunch in DC, Official Alexandria Halloween Bar Crawl in Alexandria, Nightmare on M Street Halloween Bar Crawl in DC and The Official Halloween Bar Crawl - Washington DC.

Some of the ongoing Halloween haunted houses are Factory of Fear, Hickory Ridge Haunted Trail, Workhouse Haunt: Twisted Tales of Terror, Milltown Haunt, Cox Farms Fields of Fear, Dead Whispers – Haunted Attraction and Haunted Hollow. Clifton Haunted Trail will be open for one day only Saturday. Another seasonal attraction, Harry Potter: A Forbidden Forest Experience, opens Saturday.

Fall festivals are also ongoing, including Yankey Farms Fall Festival, Pumpkin Village at Leesburg Animal Park, Cox Farms Fall Festival, Reston Farm Garden Market Fall Festival, Braehead Farm Fall Festival, Belvedere Plantation Fall Harvest Festival, Temple Hall Farm Pumpkin Patch and Great Country Farms Corn Maze and Apple Harvest.
