Hotel Proposed for King Street Office Property
Owner says building would revert back to what is was before: A hotel that operated there from 1919 to 1978.
ALEXANDRIA, VA -- The owner of 805 King Street is proposing to convert the second, third and fourth floors of the property from offices into a hotel.
The street level would remain retail.
The Monticello Apartment Hotel would offer weeklong stays for business travelers, according to plans filed with the City. The building formerly served as a hotel, from 1919 to 1978, according to the owner. Each room would feature a bathroom, kitchenette and sleeping/sitting area.

Parking, if needed, would be made available at a parking garage on N. Alfred Street or at 1101 King St. Check-in would be Web-based, with the owner just a few doors down if needed. An employee would handle room cleaning.
