It's Last Call for Shenandoah Brewing Company, but Buyer on the Horizon
The 5,600-square-foot brewery plans a last call Friday evening before it shutters shop

Alexandria's Shenandoah Brewing Company is shutting its doors but is close to sealing a deal with a buyer, DCBeer.com reports.
The brewery, which is located at 652 S. Pickett Street, has been for sale for several years.
"We were unfortunately planning the closure of the brewery and ceased brewing operations, with the last customer brewing day on the first weekend in June and the last customer bottling day being the 18th of June, this past Saturday," said a press release from the company. "Nothing like a last minute save, however and a prospective buyer is in the final process of purchasing the brewery, primarily meaning we are getting all the paperwork in place for them to take over the brewery."

The release says new owners should be in place by the end of June or beginning of July.
The new owners are maintaining the brew-your-own-beer aspect of the business, according to Shenandoah Brewery.
