Last Call for Nominations for 2017 'Living Legends'

This month is your last chance to nominate someone to be a 2017 Living Legend of Alexandria, organizers announced Tuesday. The deadline is July 31. Anyone may nominate a candidate and anyone may nominate more than one choice.

There are two criteria. A nominee must be someone who has inspired and led to the creation of something that impacts the quality of life in Alexandria and would not exist without the nominee's vision, work and determination.

Or the nominee could be someone who has contributed to the quality of life in the City of Alexandria through years of service in leadership on boards commissions, committees, civic or nonprofit organizations.

To nominate someone go to theLiving Legends Web site. On the right side of the front page, click on “click here to nominate” and fill out the form.
