Patent examiner Jermaine Mincey intends to run for City Council as an independent, according to data filed this week with the

Mincey has been an Old Town resident since 2007. According to minceyforcouncil.com, a website under construction, Mincey is a member of the city’s Budget Fiscal Affairs Advisory Committee and a member of the Urban League as well as the Old Town Civic Association, among other experience listed.

He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California-Santa Cruz in computer engineering and business management.
