New Shoe Repair Store Opens at Bradlee Shopping Center

The location was previously a shoe repair store, run for years by Joseph M. Johnson who closed the store in January. He passed away Sept. 2.

ALEXANDRIA, VA -- A new shoe repair store has opened at Bradlee Shopping Center in Alexandria, at 3640 King St., where a previous repair shop was located.

The repair shop opened in the same spot where another store was located for many years, owned by Joe Johnson, who passed away Sept. 2. Johnson closed his store in January.

Johnson, who comes from a large family and was the father of 10 children, had been at the location since 1988 and in the business for even more years than that at the former Blue Ribbon Cleaners at Bradlee.
