Old Town Hosts King Street Festival of the Arts
More than 200 artists display their work Sept. 10-11 along King and Union streets up to Washington Street.
The King Street Festival of the Arts struts its stuff this weekend in Old Town.
Alexandria will host more than 200 artists and $15 million in artwork for sale along King Street on Sept. 10-11 for the ninth year of this popular event.
Festival booths will line King Street between S. Washington and Union streets to showcase more than six blocks of artwork.

Art comes in all shapes, materials and sizes. Artwork prices range from $25 hand-designed earrings to $30,000 metal sculptures. Admission is free and open to the public.
A selection of participating artists will be honoring the memory of the victims and heroes during the 10th anniversary of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks by exhibiting artwork inspired by the tragedy.
Festival hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. The festival is free and open to the public.

Event goers are encouraged to take the free trolley from the King Street Metro to the city's waterfront.
