Patch Pets - Adopt a Cat This Valentine's Day
Every weekend members of the Alexandria Animal League introduce us to some adoptable pets
In this week's Patch Pets, Suzanne D'Alonzo introduces us to a foursome of cats: Roger and Rabbit are both two years old, long-haired orange tabbies; Rose is a short-haired tortoise shelled five year old; Tompson is just over a year old and has a short, solid grey coat.
Roger and Rabbit are a "bonded pair" that must go home together, according to D'Alonzo, but the two seemed to really hit it off with a beagle on Thursday.
"We suspect they will be quite fine in a home with a dog," D'Alonzo said in an e-mail.

The animal shelter is all decked out for Valentine's Day and is currently offering existing pairs—like Rabbit and Roger—for no adoption fee. If you want to adopt a pair of cats that haven't already been friends, the shelter offers a two-for-one special for $120.
If you're interested in adopting or learning more about the Alexandria Animal Shelter, visit the shelter at 4101 Eisenhower Avenue in Alexandria or go online.
