Pedestrian Struck Monday Night in Alexandria: Police

The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital Monday night after being struck in a crash, police said.

ALEXANDRIA, VA -- A pedestrian was struck Monday night in Alexandria and was transported to a local hospital, according to Alexandria Police.

The Alexandria Police Department is investigating the "pedestrian struck traffic crash" in the 300 block of Yoakum Parkway (see map below), in the City's West End.

Police posted information about the crash at about 8 p.m. Monday. Expect police activity in the area and possible road closures.
