Police Arrest Wife in Fatal Shooting of Husband in Alexandria

The victim was found shot Wednesday morning in their home, according to police.

ALEXANDRIA, VA -- Police have arrested the wife of the victim of a fatal shooting that occurred Wednesday morning in Alexandria, police announced Wednesday night.

Paula Marshall, 47, has been charged with murder in the shooting of her husband, Rolf Marshall, 75, of Alexandria, police said.

Police found Rolf Marshall Wednesday at approximately 10:45 a.m., after they responded to a residence for a reported shooting in the 1100 block of Duke Street in Alexandria. Police found him suffering from a gunshot wound inside the residence. The victim was transported to an area hospital where he succumbed to his injuries, police said.
