Police Charge Suspect with Murder in Alexandria Homicide
Shakeel Baldon, 43, died from wounds he suffered in a stabbing incident Thursday, May 5 in the Lincolnia area.

ALEXANDRIA, VA -- Alexandria Police have charged a suspect with the homicide of Shakeel Baldon, 43, who died from injuries sustained during a stabbing that occurred in the 6100 block of Lincolnia Road on Thursday night, May 5, police announced Tuesday morning.
Clarence Terry, 53, of Alexandria, was charged with Murder on Monday. He is being held without bond in the William G. Truesdale Detention Center in Alexandria, according to police.
The area where the stabbing took place is located off of Little River Turnpike, in the City's West End, and borders Fairfax County. The Plaza at Landmark shopping center is nearby. On May 5, the night Baldon was stabbed, police were called at about 9:36 p.m.; officers responded to the area for an injured person, police said. A man was located by police, suffering from upper body trauma, according to police. Baldon was transported to an area hospital, where he later died, police said.

There was no information released by police about why Terry allegedly stabbed Baldon.
