Police Identify Victim of Last Week's Fatal Motorcycle Crash

The victim in last Thursday’s fatal motorcycle crash has been identified as Rakesh Bhatt, 54, from Springfield, Va. 

The incident occurred at approximately 7:07 A.M. on June 30 at the intersection of Van Dorn Street and Taney Avenue.  

The driver of a trash truck was making a right turn when the truck struck the victim, who was declared dead at the scene.
