Police Investigate Possible Attempted Arson in Alexandria
The Alexandria Police and Fire departments were on the scene Tuesday night of what was a possible attempted arson.

ALEXANDRIA, VA -- The Alexandria Police Department and Alexandria Fire Department are investigating a possible attempted arson Tuesday night in the 5300 block of Taney Avenue (see map below) in the City's West End.
The police department sent out an alert about the investigation shortly before 10 p.m. Tuesday.
The suspect is in custody, according to police. No one was seriously injured. Expect police activity and road closures in the area, police said. Police did not release the name of the suspect or other circumstances surrounding the incident.
