Restaurant Proposed for 1400 Duke Street

ALEXANDRIA, VA -- An application has been made to the City Planning Commission to operate a restaurant on the first floor of 1400 Duke St. (see map below).

The owners of the new business are Jerry and Susan Pnevmatikatos, aka J&S Restaurant LLC; the two also own six daycare centers in the region, including one at 1416 Duke St.

The application notes that the restaurant would seat 75, offer table service, delivery, be open from 5:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. and serve alcohol. Parking for the restaurant will be available in the adjacent parking lot; no word on the number of spaces available.
