Road Rage Shooting Leads To Attempted Murder Charge For Alexandria Man

Maryland State Police say an Alexandria man fired a gun at a vehicle during a road rage incident.

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — An Alexandria man is facing an attempted murder charge and others after a road rage shooting in Prince George's County, Maryland last week.

According to Maryland State Police, the shooting happened Thursday, April 3 in the area of Route 5 and Burch Hill Road in Brandywine. Police say the driver of a black 2023 Ford Explorer with Michigan tags fired a handgun at the victim's vehicle. The victim was not injured.

During the investigation, law enforcement conducted search warrants on the suspect's apartment and vehicle. Police found two loaded guns and narcotics during the search.

Marco Williams, 46, of Alexandria, was arrested in Fairfax County Wednesday by a U.S. Marshal's Fugitive Task Force and the Maryland State Apprehension Team. He is charged with attempted first-degree murder, felony assault, firearms offenses and additional offenses. Williams awaits extradition to Maryland.
