According to ACPS, this new team structure allows the principal more time for a consistent focus on classroom instruction while building on the educational foundation.

"The academic success of Jefferson-Houston is a top priority for the school division," Sherman said. "Rosalyn’s experience as both a classroom teacher and school leader gives her keen insight regarding the most effective methods for helping students succeed. Meanwhile, Steve will be my boots-on-the-ground support to help ensure we accelerate academic achievement while we make construction plans for the new school building opening in the 2014-15 school year."
