Staples Partners With Nonprofits to Bring School Supplies to Kids
Staples along with DoSomething.org and Neediest Kids will give donated supplies to Alexandria City Public Schools

Staples, DoSomething.org and Neediest Kids have partnered to encourage shoppers to donate school supplies to area students.
Consumers shopping for school supplies at Staples can donate any additional supplies into the Staples for Students collection boxes in the store.
Neediest Kids is a nonprofit that has helped thousands of low-income Alexandria students get supplies and essentials such as eyeglasses, food and personal care items. Shoppers can make a cash donation to Neediest Kids at Staples or online www.neediestkids.org.

After Staples collects the donated school supplies, it will give them to Neediest Kids, which in turn will distribute the supplies to Alexandria City Public Schools. The school system will distribute the goods among its schools.
Neediest Kids CEO Amy Ginsburg said, “Many are unaware that 55 percent of Alexandria students receive a reduced price meal, which is an indicator of poverty.”
