T.C. Williams Names New Band Director

Carlos Gonzalez is now in charge of leading the marching band, concert band and wind ensembles, in addition to supporting other arts programs.

The Marching Titans began their three-week band camp this week with Carlos Gonzalez as the new director.

Gonzalez worked for Prince William County Public Schools, Fairfax County Public Schools and has served seven high schools and two middle schools as a clinician, co-director and host director for District IX Band Assessment.

He most recently was band director overseeing 280 students at Stonewall Middle School in Prince William County.

He has participated in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, George W. Bush's first Inaugural Parade and the Midwest International Band and Orchestra Clinic in Chicago.

Gonzalez, originally from Puerto Rico, is working toward his master's in education from the University in Virginia, which he expects to receive in December. He has a bachelor's of music from James Madison University.
