The owners also operate another Vietnamese restaurant, Caphe Banh Mi, located at 407 Cameron St. in Alexandria. That restaurant specializes in Vietnamese sandwiches (Banh Mi) and noodle soup (Pho) (see their current restaurant menu here).

The new owners have filed paperwork with the City proposing the new restaurant for the spot at 682 N. Saint Asaph St. (see map below), near Trader Joe's.

They get high marks from Yelp reviewers for their Caphe Banh Mi eatery (624 reviews/four stars):

  • Jon J. said: "This was without a doubt the best pho I've ever had. Same for their imperial rolls. Fresh ingredients and incredible taste.
  • Chanhong said: "I'm so glad I gave Caphe Banh Mi another shot because the lemongrass tofu with grilled mushroom and vegetarian pho were amazing-all natural with no fake meat."
  • Allie said: "It had been almost two years since I'd had pho or banh mi, so I was pretty surprised to discover a Vietnamese restaurant in Old Town. Even more surprising was how packed this place was!"

The new restaurant proposes to be open from 7:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. weekdays, 7:30 a.m. to midnight Fridays, 8 a.m. to midnight Saturdays and 8 am. to 10 p.m. Sundays. The eatery will also offer bar service, carryout, delivery and seating for 157 indoors and seating for 40 outdoors (much larger than Caphe Banh Mi, which several Yelp reviewers say is very small, about 20 seats). The new restaurant plans to employ 24.

There is no date yet available for the opening of the new restaurant.
