Pets, Owners Invited to Unleashed Opening

Unleashed by Petco, now open at Hunters Woods Village Center, will hold a grand opening celebration this weekend at the new Reston store.

The fun runs Friday through Sunday at 2304 Hunters Woods Plaza. The store specializes in pet supplies and food selections that include natural, organic and raw food. 

Some of these food selections and gourmet treats can be seen and sampled at the Pet Deli. The deli display counter offers fresh, frozen, raw and cooked food. 

There is also a special sample wall where pets can taste test to find their favorite chow.

The Reston Unleashed will host several community gatherings throughout the year, including multiple adoption events aiming to unite the areas shelter pets with forever homes, as well as activities such as Pug-a-Palooza, local dog meet-ups and other fun contests and social gatherings for people and pets alike.

Special grand opening events (all giveaways while supplies last):

* Free samples of dog treats and “in season” food from the pet bakery.

*  Free tote bags for all guests Saturday and Sunday who make a purchase.

*  Free $10 Gift Cards for the first 50 guests who sign up for Pals Rewards on Saturday and Sunday.

* Free dog-friendly ice cream from 11 am - 3 pm on Saturday and Sunday.

* All guests who make a purchase receive a free one-pound bag of treats from the treat bar on Saturday and Sunday.

* Pet adoptions so potential pet parents can meet pets of all types looking for forever homes.

* Opportunities for local pets and pet parents to meet.
