Sunrise Valley Gets an Interim Principal
Retired FCPS principal Tim Stanley will lead Reston elementary school.

Tim Stanley has been named the interim principal at Sunrise Valley Elementary. He replaces Elizabeth English, who is retiring at the end of July after 10 years at the school.
Fairfax County Public Schools had been searching for a replacement for English, but needs more time to conduct a proper search, Cluster 8 Superintendent Fabio Zuluaga told SVES families in an email on Thursday.
Stanley is a longtime FCPS educator, whose wife, Melanie Stanley, retired from SVES as the assistant principal several years ago.
