MIDLOTHIAN, Va. (Nov. 6, 2024) – The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill® is bringing its fresh take on Mediterranean cuisine to The Shoppes at Belvedere on the border of Midlothian and Richmond at 11458 Belvedere Vista Lane. Franchise owners and husband-wife team Ken and Heather Tell will use their business and hospitality backgrounds to create memorable dining experiences for which the brand is known.

“We’re excited to share the flavors of the Mediterranean with more people in our community,” said Ken Tell, a technology sales professional who focused on customer service throughout his career. “My wife Heather has a hospitality background, and we wanted to bring a restaurant to the area that not only has delicious food but also places a high priority on the customer experience, and we found that in The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill.”

The fast-casual Mediterranean eatery elevates convenient dining with an extensive selection of fresh, authentic dishes that fulfill the brand’s mission to Live Your Life Deliciously. Using recipes passed down for generations, the menu includes popular classics like The Great Greek Gyro and Australian lamb, steak, garlic shrimp, or chicken Souvlaki plates, all prepared in-house using high-quality ingredients. Many old favorites get a Mediterranean twist, like Feta Fries, named for the Greek cheese that tops them.

Customizable selections include the Classic Greek Salad or Rice Bowl with Gyro meat, salmon, and more. Guests can add the perfect finishing touch with desserts like Baklava, Baklava Ice Cream and Mom’s Rice Pudding.

Planners of large parties, events, and meetings can serve attendees a catering menu offering build-your-own Gyros and Souvlaki Skewers accompanied by buttery Rice Pilaf, crisp Greek Salad, savory dips and delectable desserts.

Souvlaki is one of Ken Tell’s favorite menu choices. “The protein is perfectly marinated and grilled to perfection, which makes it full of flavor,” said Ken Tell. “The rice pilaf is delicious, too, and Gyros have quickly become another favorite for me.” Heather Tell is originally from the Metro Detroit market, where Mediterranean cuisine is trendy. She is excited to bring her hometown favorites like Dolmades and Greek salads to Midlothian.

The Tells are parents of triplets and have two miniature schnauzer dogs. They envision that their whole family will one day run the restaurant.
