Obituary-George O. Phelan, Jr.

George was born April 7, 1937 and lived most of his life in Milford, CT. He was graduated from Milford High School in 1958 and later joined the Air Force. George was a kind, generous man who loved salt water fishing, skiing, and woodworking, including building his own cabin in Vermont. One of George’s favorite places was the Milford Harbor, from which he and his children commenced many a fishing outing.

George was the son of the late George O. Phelan and Dorothy Phelan. He is survived by his brother, Robert, his wife, Terry, his son, Michael G. Phelan (Laura) of Richmond, Va., his daughter, Mary Ellen Landis (Henry) of Loveland, OH, his grandchildren , Michael, Kate and Patrick Phelan and Bridget, Eleanor, and Brendan Landis, and his ex-wife, Mary Jean Colwell of Richmond.
