Nonprofit Richmond Hill to begin $1M backyard preservation project next year (richmondbizsense.com) — Richmond Hill is moving ahead with a $1.1 million “Judy Project” to restore a former slave dwelling on its Church Hill campus and create an education center about Richmond’s slave-trade history. The nonprofit is also rewilding its backyard garden with new stormwater infrastructure and native plants, aiming to host tours and programs that connect faith, history, and racial healing for Richmond residents.

Richmond's Scott's Addition to reinstate parking enforcement after years without (wric.com) — Parking enforcement is coming back to parts of Scott’s Addition on Jan. 5, 2026, with select high-demand commercial streets returning to timed-parking to improve turnover.
