Richmond Police Department: Driver Information Sought In Fatal Single-Vehicle Crash

The
Richmond Police Department Crash Team is asking for the public’s assistance in
identifying the driver and sole occupant of yesterday’s fatal single-vehicle
crash.

At
approximately 4:53 p.m., officers were called to the for the report of a vehicle that had left the roadway, crashed,
and was burning. Investigators
with the Crash Team were called to the scene and determined the driver of the
vehicle was operating the sedan, a maroon in color,
eastbound on Walmsley Boulevard when it left the roadway, collided with a fire
hydrant and came to rest at a line of trees, where it caught fire and burned. The
driver was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators are asking for
information to identify the driver, an adult male. A stock image of the make
and model of the vehicle is attached to assist the public in identifying the
driver. Anyone
