• $35K grant funds new heart monitors for Va. county ambulances (gov1.com) — Tazewell County’s ambulance crews are getting new Lifepak 35 heart monitors, funded by a $35,000 Appalachian Power Foundation grant, so every county ambulance carries the same advanced equipment. Residents in Tazewell, Bluefield, Richlands, Pocahontas, Cedar Bluff and beyond should see more consistent, data-rich care during emergencies, including better CPR support and vital-sign tracking on the way to the hospital.
