Explore Volunteer Opportunities to Help Children In Need

This summer, Assistance League of Northern Virginia (ALNV) has been excited to welcome 9 new members! This brings their membership close to 80 volunteers. While many volunteer organizations are struggling to attract new members, ALNV is thrilled to be growing stronger. New members are attracted not only by the work they do and its impact on the community but also because of the friendships formed and the joy of helping others.

This new group of volunteers met for an orientation and welcome coffee in August and are ready to hit the ground running as schools get back in session. These new members are enthusiastic, talented, full of positive energy and they’re excited to get started!

Assistance League volunteers help support local elementary school children in Title 1 schools by providing food, clothing, books and reading support.
