Each event accommodates approximately 400 people and region-wide, AAA is seeing significant increases in attendance, compared to last year.
“The surge in appointments for TSA Pre✓® mirrors what we are seeing in our AAA retail locations and what our travel advisors are hearing from their clients. Virginians are enthusiastically making plans to getaway, many of them for the first time since the beginning of the pandemic,” says Ragina Ali, spokesperson for AAA Mid-Atlantic. “And, for those planning air travel, the TSA Pre✓® designation is sure to make their travel experience easier.”

TSA Pre✓® is the program that allows eligible travelers the opportunity to receive expedited screening at more than 200 airports across the country. The average time through security is significantly less for those with the TSA Pre✓® designation.
Now through Friday, May 13th, AAA is hosting a TSA Pre✓® event with the IdentoGO® Mobile Enrollment RV at AAA Tysons Corner, located at 8300 Old Courthouse Road, Suite 110 in Vienna, Virginia.
Appointment times are limited, so travelers are urged to visit AAA.com/TSA for more details and to make their appointment today.
According to a recent AAA Travel survey of almost 9000 Americans, nearly 80% said they have made plans or would like to travel this summer, and more than 40% said they are planning multiple trips. Reservations for flights, cruises, rental cars and hotels for Memorial Day weekend alone are up more than 120% over last year, a significant spike after a turbulent few years across the industry.
“As restrictions, availability and affordability add complexity to planning, travelers are seeking ways to ensure their vacation can be as stress-free and enjoyable as possible,” Ali adds.
