Injured Goose Delays Metro Trains In Fairfax County: Report
An injured goose reportedly caused single-tracking in the area of Tysons Corner.
FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA -- An injured goose was the cause of single-tracking on Metro's Silver Line in Fairfax County on Monday, according to a report.
The @Metrorailinfo Twitter account reported at 4:33 p.m. that trains were single-tracking between Tysons Corner and McLean due to an animal on the tracks at Tysons Corner, and delays should be expected in both directions.
NBC Washington's Adam Tuss reported that an injured goose was to blame.

The Tysons Reporter says that the Fairfax County Animal Shelter took the goose. The condition of the animal was unknown
Single-tracking ended about an hour and a half after the incident, although it caused residual delays into the evening.
