- Police Executive Research Forum (PERF) will review incidents in which Fairfax County police officers fired their guns since the beginning of 2021. PERF is an independent research organization focused on policing and will examine cases in detail to identify patterns and deficiencies. They will also provide guidance on foot pursuit policy based on policies used by law enforcement agencies nationwide. (WRIC ABC 8News)
- Olivier Lau has been appointed as the new general manager of The Ritz-Carlton, Tysons Corner. Lau, who has almost 20 years of experience in hospitality, will be responsible for overseeing The Ritz-Carlton, Georgetown, Washington D.C. as well. Area Managing Director, Luxury Operations, U.S. Eastern Region, for Marriott International, John Harper, said, "His depth of experience across luxury hotels is an excellent fit to inspire, motivate and guide our team to continued success." - Candytopia is coming to Tysons Corner Center in mid-March, offering visitors an interactive candy-themed experience with plenty of Instagram-worthy moments. The pop-up exhibit features rooms with unique themes, including a candy art gallery, candy confetti room, and a marshmallow pit. More information about the Candytopia experience is available here.
