Toiletry Items Provided To Local Title 1 Elementary Schools

Kits Will Be Used for Hygiene Lessons

There are many pieces to the puzzle when operating a Hygiene Kit Program. Multiple member volunteers with Assistance League of Northern Virginia helped make their recent toiletries packing event a success by ordering, receiving, preparing, packing, moving and delivering hygiene products. The volunteers assembled 633 hygiene kits and then delivered them to 5 area Title 1 elementary schools. Each kit contains a washcloth, soap, shampoo, deodorant, hairbrush, toothpaste, and toothbrush. The kits are used in the schools to teach students in the upper grades about personal hygiene. We know that these kits are well received and much appreciated!
