Week's Weather Starts with Storm Threat: NWS Reports

The final week of July will likely begin with some wet weather, as the National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for parts of Northern Virginia on Monday.
Isolated thunderstorms containing heavy rainfall are in the afternoon forecast throughout the area, and some parts of the region may experience flash flooding due to the storms, the NWS reports.
Rain will remain in the forecast on Tuesday afternoon and more showers could also pop up on Thursday.

- Monday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 88. South wind 6 to 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%.
- Monday night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms before midnight, then a slight chance of showers between midnight and 3am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 71. South wind 3 to 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%.
- Tuesday: Partly cloudy, with a low around 72. Southeast wind around 5 mph becoming light and variable after midnight.
- Tuesday night: Mostly sunny, with a high near 93. Calm wind becoming south around 5 mph in the afternoon.
- Wednesday: Partly cloudy, with a low around 77.
- Wednesday night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 93. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
- Thursday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 93. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
- Thursday night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 74.
- Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 89.
- Friday night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 72.
