VIENNA, VA — Two suspects stole groceries and fled in a stolen car on Monday, according to Vienna Police.

Around 1:55 p.m. Monday, Vienna Police responded to the Giant parking lot at 359 Maple Avenue E for a reported $1,000 grocery shoplifting. Police say the two suspects were placing the stolen groceries in the back of a white Honda Pilot, and officers confirmed the vehicle was stolen.

At least one of the suspects got in the vehicle with the hatchback still open and did not follow officers' demands to stop. Officers pursued the vehicle onto Route 123 into Tysons, where the driver sideswiped another vehicle. The pursuit was ended when the driver continued onto southbound Interstate 495. There were no reported injuries.
