2 Upcoming Wellness Expos Help Vienna Get Healthy
Upcoming wellness expos in May will share resources on how older adults and residents of all ages can be healthy.

VIENNA, VA — With the weather turning warm, it's the ideal time to find ways to get outside and be healthy. Two upcoming wellness expos in Vienna will help residents be healthy in different aspects of their lives.
The first event will be the town's Wellness and Safety Expo geared toward older adults on Friday, May 12 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Vienna Community Center, 120 Cherry St. SE, Vienna, VA. The Vienna Business Association's Get Healthy Vienna! Expo 2023 will follow on Saturday, May 20 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The town's event for adults 55 and older will provide medical screenings and other resources to promote physical and mental wellbeing. Over 40 vendors are confirmed to be participating, including assisted living facilities, Fairfax County services, health centers, nonprofits and more.

May 20's Get Healthy Vienna! Expo 2023 is geared toward all ages. The event seeks to connect residents with businesses and organizations helping with health, wellness and fitness needs in the Vienna and Oakton area. the business association formed a new Health, Wellness and Fitness Committee to promote the cause in the business community.
"The VBA’s new committee is dedicated to enhancing the health, wellness and fitness of our community by connecting and promoting the businesses and organizations providing services, solutions and resources that positively transform people’s lives," said committee chair Karen Kerrigan. "Get Healthy Vienna! Expo 2023 is a direct way to help community members understand the vast resources that are available to them and their families."

There will be over 30 vendors, as well as "Well Talks" throughout the day, children’s activities and demonstrations.
A few of the Well Talks will include Striking the Balance in Youth Sports to help children avoid overuse injuries and perform at their highest level, How Text Neck Hurts Your Brain on the impacts of poor posture, and The Joy of Movement to improve joint mobility, posture and balance.
There will be limited parking at the Saturday, May 20 event due to the Vienna Farmers Market from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Additional public parking options are provided on the Town of Vienna website.
