Adoptable Fairfax County Pets: Consider These Cool Cats

FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA — Is your family looking to grow with a new furry friend? Consider starting your search at the Fairfax County Animal Shelter, which provides shelter for pets and finds them new homes.

Patch is partnering with the animal shelter to regularly feature adoptable pets. Today we're looking at some of the cats available for adoption.

Here are some of the featured pets this week:

Riley, 6, domestic shorthair/mix

Riley was brought into the animal shelter by a rescue partner. This girl loves to kick back and relax, so she'd be perfect posing for photos.

Brody, 2, domestic shorthair/mix

This 2-year-old cat is a bit reserved, but perhaps he will open up with the love of a new family.

Elsa, 5, domestic shorthair/mix

Spring allergies got you down? Elsa understands, because she is allergic to various environmental allergens. This sweet cat is affectionate and playful, but she'll need an owner to continue managing her allergies. That also means you can dress her up in fun outfits that prevent her from scratching.

Nilli, 2, domestic shorthair/mix and Hanna, 2, domestic shorthair/mix

These two cats lived together in their previous home and love to play together. The animal shelter wants this bonded pair to be adopted together.
