Bike To Work Day 2025 Features Pit Stops Around Vienna
On Bike to Work Day, commuters around the region will trade in driving for bicycles to enjoy freebies at bike pit stops.
VIENNA, VA — Despite a rainy forecast, commuters who take their bike to work on Thursday will be rewarded with freebies at participating pit stops around the DC region.
The annual Bike to Work Day will be held by the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments’ Commuter Connections and the Washington Area Bicyclist Association on Thursday, May 15. More than 100 locations around DC and the Virginia and Maryland suburbs will offer pit stops with freebies.
"Bike to Work Day isn’t just about the commute, it’s about choosing a healthier, more sustainable future," said Daniel Sheehan, director of Commuter Connections at the Council of Governments. "We encourage everyone to try biking, not just for the physical and environmental benefits, but for the sense of community it brings. Whether you're a daily bike commuter or trying it for the first time, Thursday is the perfect day to ride."
