Here are the top three stories today in Vienna:
- On Feb. 27, a body was found at the Fairfax County Solid Waste Recycling Center on West Ox Road. Fairfax County Police are investigating the human remains that fell out of the back of a tractor-trailer while it was delivering a load of garbage to the recycling center. (NBC4 Washington)
- On Feb. 27, Gov. Glenn Youngkin announced that Amentum Services, Inc. will relocate its headquarters to Fairfax County, creating 157 new jobs. The company will invest $495,000 to move from Germantown, Maryland to Chantilly, Virginia, about 11 miles from Vienna. Amentum provides "engineering and advanced solutions and services to the U.S. government, allies, and commercial companies." (ABC 7)
- The 10th annual Taste of Vienna is seeking restaurant vendors and sponsors for the event on Saturday, Apr. 29. There will be a beer and wine tent, food vendors, live performances, children's activities, and more from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. in the Vienna Volunteer Fire Department's back parking lot, located at 400 Center Street S.
