"It is a lot of hits because that’s what keeps the crowd in your pocket, so you always start with the biggest songs, then we find some obscure songs to stick in,'” George recently told WTOP.

Fellow countrymen and 1980s hit-makers The English Beat will (“Save It For Later,” “Mirror In the Bathroom”) open the show.

Despite Culture Club's catchy, radio-friendly tunes, what first brought the band stardom was Boy George, the group's charismatic, cross-dressing lead singer, according to their online bio. George dressed in flamboyant dresses and wore heavy makeup, creating an androgynous appearance new to early MTV.
