Cops And Kids To Face Off In Halloween-Themed Fun Run In Vienna
Cops and kids alike will be encouraged to dress in costumes for the returning Halloween theme of the sold-out Fun Run.
VIENNA, VA — It's cops versus kids with a spooky twist in the returning Fun Run.
The Cops & Kids Fun Run will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 12 starting at Vienna Elementary. Returning this year is a Halloween theme. Cops and children will be encouraged to wear costumes to the event. It is free to attend.
The Fun Run is a community outreach initiative the Vienna Police Department started in the 1990s. After a decade-long hiatus, Police Chief Jim Morris brought the Fun Run back with a goal of expanding the event. The Fun Runs have continued to expand with new attractions each year.
