Extended Freeze Timeline, Mornings Feeling Like the Teens: Virginia Weather Forecast

STERLING, VA — The coldest air of the season is heading in our direction overnight, and it will be staying for several days. The wind chill, or "feels like" temperature, just before sunrise Friday morning will be at 17 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.

Through Saturday and into Sunday, the wind chill will be under freezing. It will be another morning with the wind chill in the teens Saturday and a chance for snow in the forecast for Sunday night.

Friday will be a blustery, cold day, according to the weather service, with wind gusts up to 30 mph. The winds die down on Saturday, under sunny skies. There's a chance for rain and snow late Sunday night, shifting to showers as we warm to near 50 degrees on Monday.
