VIENNA, VA — Residents can bring their questions and concerns to a county supervisor's town hall coming up Wednesday in Vienna.

Supervisor Walter Alcorn (D-Hunter Mill), who represents the Town of Vienna, Reston and other surrounding parts of Fairfax County, will host the town hall. The meeting is planned Wednesday, from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the Vienna Elementary School cafeteria (128 Center St S, Vienna, VA).

The Fairfax County Board of Supervisors makes policy decisions for Fairfax County, while Vienna Town Council makes land use decisions and town operations and budgetary decisions lie with the Vienna Town Council. There are times when both governing bodies will collaborate, like the county's library expansion project. The Fairfax County Board of Supervisors had its latest meeting on July 15, and the next is on Aug. 26.
