Interstate 66 Reopens After Tractor-Trailer Crash With Fire, 1 Person Injured
A two-vehicle crash involving a tractor-trailer has closed one direction of Interstate 66 Monday afternoon, according to VDOT.

FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA — One direction of Interstate 66 is closed due to a crash with a tractor-trailer Monday afternoon, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation. Fairfax County Fire and Rescue said a fire resulted from the crash.
VDOT reported the crash in the area of Exit 62/Nutley Street. A tractor-trailer and a sedan were involved in the crash. According to Fairfax County Fire and Rescue, one person was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Westbound I-66 was closed at the exit. VDOT's 511 traffic cameras showed traffic backups in the westbound direction. According to MATOC alerts, delays extend for about two miles, starting around Exit 64/I-495. I-66 Express Lane traffic was getting by in the left lane.
As of 3 p.m., MATOC alerts noted that all general and express lanes had reopened, but delays still extended about four miles before Route 7/Exit 66.
