Parades, Viva Vienna, Strawberry Jubilee Highlight Memorial Day Weekend In DC Region

VIRGINIA — The Memorial Day holiday weekend will be a time to remember fallen U.S. military servicemembers as well as kick off summer activities around Northern Virginia and D.C.

Memorial Day remembrances and parades highlight the weekend. Some of the major events include the Falls Church Memorial Day Parade and Festival, Poppy Wall of Honor, Arlington National Cemetery "Flags In," National Memorial Day Concert, National Memorial Day Parade, National Memorial Day Observance at Arlington National Cemetery, Rolling to Remember, Blast Off! with “The President’s Own” United States Marine Band and Memorial Day at Manassas National Battlefield Park.

WorldPride is also continuing in Washington, DC with ongoing events before next weekend's WorldPride Welcome Ceremony and Concert. Other major events include Herndon PRIDE and Hotel AKA Alexandria Pride Drag Brunch.

Other notable events this weekend are Viva Vienna, Fair Oaks Carnival, Strawberry Jubilee Fest and Asian Summer Festival.
