Metro To Overhaul Bus Network: See Impacts To Vienna Routes
Metro's overhaul of its bus system has changes that impact travel around two Vienna area stations.

VIENNA, VA — A major overhaul to the regional Metrobus system to improve service is planned on June 29, and Metro is informing riders of planned changes.
Metro noted that the Better Bus network is the first major overhaul to the bus system in 50 years. Many bus routes will have updated service, bus stops and schedules.
New route names will reflect the locations. For example, Arlington and Alexandria routes will begin with an A, downtown routes in DC will begin with D and Fairfax City, Fairfax County and Falls Church routes will begin with F. Limited stop routes will have an X at the end of the name. Riders can use Metro's trip planner tool using dates starting on June 29 to find updated routes and schedules.
