Mom Sends Chantilly Teen to Siberia Over 'Uncontrollable' Behavior

Sofia Petrova is now stranded in Siberia.

A Chantilly teen was sent to Siberia after acting rebellious, WUSA*9 reports

The 15-year-old Chantilly High School freshman Sofia Petrova was sent to Siberia for what she thought was a vacation. Two years later, she’s still in overseas, the news station reports.

Petrova who was born in Russia, came to the United States with her mother when the child was 2 years old. Just a few days after her 15th birthday, her mother sent her to Siberia after what her parents described as "uncontrollable" behavior, her parents told WUSA.
