Police Arrest 4 with Phony Credit Cards in Tysons Shopping Spree: 1 Year Ago
Take a look at one of McLean Patch's most popular stories from one year ago this week.

Four people from Georgia were charged Wednesday by police after they were reportedly seen making repeated attempts to purchase items while shopping in the Tysons area with what police are calling fraudulent credit cards, according to Fairfax County Police. Most of those purchases were declined, but not all, police said.
Officers received a tip about suspicious transaction “attempts” by the suspects on Wednesday at a Tyson’s department store and investigated further, according to an FCPD news release. Four suspects were apprehended at around 9:30 p.m. in a shopping center parking garage.
Subsequently, police seized more than 30 fraudulent credit cards, and more than $15,000 in merchandise, ranging from shoes, to furs, to electronics and clothing that is believed to be tied to criminal activity.
