Police Charge Men In Southeast Vandalism Cases

Four men are facing a total of 16 destruction of property charges for their alleged involvement in damaging the mailboxes of several Southeast Vienna homes.

Zackary Babbitt, 18, Thomas Griffin, 19, Mohammed Samantar, 18, and Spencer Price, 18, all of Vienna, each face a total of four of those charges, one for each of the four addresses involved in the investigation.

While investigating reports of mailbox vandalisms in late November, police received another report just after midnight Nov. 21 from a resident of Ninovan Road SE,

Police responded and found the men in the area. They learned the men had
illegally consumed alcohol underage, and issued them summons for underage possession of alcohol. At the time, they were released after they signed the summons.

After further investigation, Police linked the men to the nearby mailbox incidents and charged them with the additional offenses.
