Police Respond to 3 Calls in 48 Hours to Cedar Lane School in Vienna
Officers served warrant for female juvenile, responded to call about possession of marijuana and report of student making threats.

VIENNA, VA -- Town of Vienna Police responded to three calls in 48 hours this week at Cedar Lane School in Vienna. The school, part of Fairfax County Public Schools is for students in grades 9-12. Here's a rundown of the three incidents from Monday and Tuesday:
- Arrest – Warrant Service 16-007812 Cedar Lane School 101 Cedar Lane, SW September 12 2:41 p.m. Ofc. Slebonick and SGT Elias went to the listed school to serve a warrant for a female juvenile. Officers worked with school staff and located the juvenile. The juvenile subject from Green Ridge Court, Fairfax was taken in to custody and transported to the Fairfax County Juvenile Intake Office.
- Police Service 16-007838 Cedar Lane School 101 Cedar Lane, SW September 13 9:42 a.m. Security officers for the listed school called to report a juvenile subject who was in possession of marijuana. When officers arrived they spoke with the juvenile who told them the suspected marijuana was not theirs and that it was placed in to their backpack without their knowledge. After reviewing the information it was determined the suspected marijuana was placed in to the juveniles backpack without their knowledge. The suspected marijuana was seized and will be destroyed.
- Juvenile 16-007839 Cedar Lane School 101 Cedar Lane, SW September 13 10:07 a.m. While handling the above mentioned call for service Ofc. Slebonick was informed by school security of a juvenile student who made threats against teachers at the school. It was determined by school security the threat was not credible, but they wanted to document the event.

INCIDENTS
Fraud 16-007691 200 Block Maple Avenue, West September 8 1:57 p.m. A citizen called to report their debit credit card was fraudulently used. The victim informed LT Marsh they were not interested in assisting with prosecution, only wanted to report the event.
Animal Case - Quarantine 16-007724 100 Block Saint Andrews Drive, NE September 9 7:37 a.m. ACO Barker was informed by the Hope Center of a cat that was brought in for treatment after fighting with a raccoon. He spoke with the owner of the cat and informed them the cat would need to be placed in to 45 day quarantine.
Animal Case 16-007729 900 Block Moorefield Creek Road, SW September 9 10:26 a.m. A citizen reported two animals, a cat and a dog, were not being cared for properly. ACO Barker met with the owners and conducted a house check finding both animals were cared for properly.
Arrest - Warrant Service 16-007735 500 Block Maple Avenue, West September 9 1:43 p.m. Officers responded to a fight in progress involving three male subjects. When officers arrived they determined the aggressors of the fight fled the scene. MPO Lyons broadcasted a lookout for the fleeing subjects in a vehicle. LT Sylmar and PFC Kiley located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. While interacting with the passenger in the vehicle LT Sylmar determined he was a wanted subject. The 23 year old male passenger from Clearwater Court, Herndon was arrested for an outstanding warrant from the Town of Herndon. He was transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center and held on no bond. The victim in the assault did not wish to pursue the matter criminally.
Arrest - Narcotics Violation 16-007741 500 Block Maple Avenue, West September 9 10:41 p.m. LT Taylor was patrolling the listed area when he observed an occupant of a vehicle throw a can out of the window. LT Taylor conducted a traffic stop with the vehicle and while speaking to the occupants of the vehicle determined they were in possession of alcohol and under the age of 21. A search of the vehicle yielded a measureable amount of narcotics. The 19 year old male driver from Beverly Park Drive, Springfield was issued a summons for possession of schedule IV narcotic and an 18 year old male passenger from Cedar Lane, Vienna was issued a summons for possession of alcohol underage. Both subjects were released on their signature. Petitions for possession of alcohol underage and littering will be obtained for a male juvenile passenger from Drake Street, Vienna. He was released in to the custody of a family member.
Death Unknown Cause 16-007749 Wolf Trap Hotel 430 Maple Avenue, West Between September 9 at 2:00 p.m. and September 10 at 7:00 a.m. Officers responded to assist Fairfax County EMS with an unresponsive male subject. Fairfax County EMS determined the male subject to be deceased. A friend with the male subject told officers the male subject went to sleep the night before and when they attempted to wake him in the morning they noticed he was unresponsive. Vienna Police Department Criminal Investigations Section will investigate the death.
Animal Case 16-007758 Wolf Trap Hotel 430 Block Maple Avenue, West September 10 10:47 a.m. While on scene of the previously mentioned case, a detective was scratched by a cat. The cat was transported to the Fairfax County Animal Shelter to be placed in to 45 day quarantine.
Trespassing 16-007779 500 Block Windover Avenue, NW September 11 11:49 a.m. A resident called to report a male contractor they were in civil proceedings with, was at their residence and they wanted him trespassed from the property. PFC Tremont informed the contractor he was no longer allowed on the property.
Noise Complaint 16-007792 Bey Lounge 303 Mill Street, NE September 12 12:02 a.m. A resident called to report a loud noise coming from the Bey Lounge. MPO Nelson responded to the area and after observing the area determined no violation of law was occurring.
Arrest – Drunk In Public 16-007795 500 Block Maple Avenue, West September 12 3:04 a.m. SGT Sheeran observed two male subjects walking in the listed area. One of the male subjects showed signs of possible impairment as well as urinating in public. SGT Sheeran made contact with both subjects and determined one of them to be intoxicated. The 25 year old male subject from Lee Highway, Fairfax was arrested for drunk in public. He was transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center.
Civil 16-007808 400 Block Council Drive, NE September 12 12:03 p.m. A resident wanted to report an issue with a contractor failing to follow through with work. The resident was informed it was a civil issue and provided with information about civil court proceedings.
Grand Larceny 16-007811 400 Block Holmes Drive, NW September 12 2:34 p.m. A citizen called to report they had several building materials stolen from the outside of the listed area.
Arrest - Fraud 16-007819 Vienna Rexall Drug Center 150 Maple Avenue, West September 12 7:31 p.m. An employee of the listed business called to report a male subject attempting to pass fraudulent prescriptions. Ofc. Bulti located the male subject and determined he was in fact passing fraudulent prescriptions. The 26 year old male subject from Victoria Farms Lane, Vienna was arrested for prescription fraud. He was transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center and held on a $1,500 secure bond.
Police Service 16-007838 Cedar Lane School 101 Cedar Lane, SW September 13 9:42 a.m. Security officers for the listed school called to report a juvenile subject who was in possession of marijuana. When officers arrived they spoke with the juvenile who told them the suspected marijuana was not theirs and that it was placed in to their backpack without their knowledge. After reviewing the information it was determined the suspected marijuana was placed in to the juveniles backpack without their knowledge. The suspected marijuana was seized and will be destroyed.

Animal Case 16-007841 Cooper Court, SE September 13 10:44 a.m. A resident called to report a stray dog. Ofc. Slebonick found the dog and attempted to call the number provided on the dogs’ collar. After several attempts to reach the owner of the dog were unsuccessful, the dog was taken to the Fairfax County Animal Shelter.
Suspicious Event 16-007868 100 Block Patrick Street, SE September 13 9:18 p.m. Fairfax County Police requested officers’ check on the welfare of a female juvenile subject. SGT Farhan and MPO Smith located the juvenile and found her to be in good health. The juvenile stated she was having issues with a male subject. The officers provided her with services that could assist her.
Arrest – Narcotics Violation 16-007874 Maple Avenue, East and Saint Andrews Drive, NE September 14 12:45 p.m. Ofc. Bulti was patrolling the listed area when he observed a vehicle with defective equipment. When Ofc. Bulti approached the vehicle he could smell an odor of suspected marijuana coming from within the vehicle. The driver of the vehicle also informed Ofc. Bulti he did not have a valid operator’s license. The driver of the vehicle admitted to being in possession of suspected marijuana. The 21 year old male driver from Chain Bridge Road, Vienna was issued a summons for defective equipment, operating a motor vehicle without a valid operator’s license and possession of marijuana. He was released on his signature.
Vandalism 16-007879 200 Block Maple Avenue, West September 14 10:56 a.m. The owner of a business called to report there was damage to the building. There were two windows that were destroyed.
Grand Larceny 16-007883 100 Block Patrick Street, SW Between September 13 at 9:00 a.m. and September 13 at 2:00 p.m. A resident reported their unsecured bicycle was stolen from their open air car port.
Telephone Case 16-007887 200 Block Glyndon Street, SE September 14 4:41 p.m. A resident wanted to report they were receiving harassing phone calls from a family member in another state. The resident was advised not to communicate with the family member and of the process to obtain a warrant.
Fraud 16-007894 100 Block Patrick Street, SE September 14 9:23 p.m. A resident reported someone had fraudulently opened a credit card in their name. The resident was a victim of the Office of Personal Management security breach.
Animal Case 16-007906 1200 Block Ross Drive, SW September 15 8:55 a.m. A citizen called to report two stray dogs in the listed area. When ACO Barker arrived he located one of the dogs and attempted to return it to its owner, however, the owner was not home. The dog was transported to the Fairfax County Animal Shelter. The second dog was not located.
