Police Seek Suspect In Credit Card Fraud Case

are asking for help in identifying a man they believe is responsible for stealing several credit cards in Vienna last month and using them to make fraudulent purchases in two local jurisdictions.

by a woman who said she made a purchase  at The Fresh Market on Nov. 17. When she returned to her office on Church Street, she left her purse unattended.

Later in the day, she was contacted by her bank, which had detected some activity it believed was fraudulent. She then discovered her wallet was missing from her purse, and, multiple cards had been used already at stores in Vienna and Alexandria.

The photos police released this week shows the suspect shopping in the Giant Supermarket on Maple Avenue on the same date the cards were stolen.
